Q. How big are they?
A. The blueprints are laser engraved on a 420x297mm (A3 paper) sheet of 3mm aluminium. They weigh around 1kg.
Q. How much?
A. The blueprints start at £99 and have several cost options for customisations such as registration/license/VIN numbers, owners names and aftermarket appearances and specifications.
Q. Are your blueprints official?
A. The blueprints are original art, they are unofficial and in no way affiliated with the manufacturers. Each design states this in the small print within the border.
Q. How long from placing an order to delivery?
A. Standard designs can be delivered as quickly as 5 working days from order. New commisions and heavily customised ones require your approval prior to being made so they can vary between a a fortnight and several weeks depending how many iterations we go through.
Q. Do I get to see a draft copy before it is made?
A. Standard designs do not. For custom designs, you will be required to check one or more draft copies supplied via email and sign off the final draft copy prior to it being made in physical form. Once your approval has been given, any errors requiring correction will be subject to an additional charge.
Q. Can I get different colour combinations?
A. At the moment, any colour you like, so long as it is black. I am investigating expanding this choice in mid 2015.
Q. What cars can you do?
A. I can do blueprints for almost any car, though some less common ones will require photos taken specifically for the artwork with a decent DSLR camera.
Q. Can you do vehicles other than cars?
A. Providing suitable reference material is available or supplied, I can do pretty much anything.
Q. Can I supply you a blueprint I have made to be engraved?
A. I would be more than happy to engrave customer provided artwork so long as it is a good quality. Providing the file requires no editing by me, the A3 size plaques will be £80.
Q. Anything you can't do?
A. Most definitely, I do require reference material to be available to create the artwork, if there isn't any for your vehicle and you are unable provide suitable photos, then I am afraid it is not possible.
Q. Can you add the manufacturer logo?
A. No. This breaches trademark copyrights. I don't like courtrooms.
Q. Can you add my own company branding?
A. Yes, if you own the legal rights, I can add any customer supplied logos.
Q. Do you offer group buys for forums?
A. Yes, I can offer discounts for bulk orders of the same blueprint with personal specifications. Discounts will vary depending on the artwork but will broadly be in the range of 10% for 5, 15% for 10 and 20% for 15 or more.
Q. Do you offer a gift wrapping service?
A. The product is designed to be suitable as a gift, so as standard all Black Art Graphics blueprints come in a black presentation box with Black Art Graphics branding, and are shipped in a protective white cardboard sleeve.
